The objects of the charity are:

1. the relief of poverty, distress and hardship;
   
2. the advancement of education and vocational training;
   
3. the furtherance of health;
4. the promotion of social rehabilitation or resettlement;
   
5. the provision of recreational facilities in the interests of social welfare; and
   
6. the promotion of the physical intellectual, social and moral welfare of the community in the city of Birmingham and its neighbourhood (hereinafter called the community) and elsewhere in the United Kingdom.
